DRAWING PEOPLE ON TRAINS
Drawing People on Trains is Mr Lee’s lifetime project that has been one of the foundations of his practise. Initially starting as a way of honing his drawing skills in a challenging environment - moving train, moving target, no fixed time to draw each subject, not to mention the uncomfortable and very real possibility of being caught pen-in-hand - the project has grown and evolved over time.
It was these hours of sketching on the train that developed Mr Lee’s signature black and white line drawing style and his ability to capture a likeness with an elegance and economy of strokes - the right lines in the right places. In turn, this mastery of his craft is what lead Mr Lee to showcase his live drawing skills at activations and workshops for global brands including Nike, Soho House, Selfridges, Hypebeast and many more.
